I would fight for the empire...or is it republic? Either way, sweet armor. Today Bioware and Lucasarts announce the secret project Star Wars: The Old Repubic. The long awaited, rumored and sought after Star Wars mmo everyone has been waiting for. A great read over on ign.com, four pages to be exact, about the new game. I remember Star Wars Galaxies and how grand it was when it first launched. My friends and I had great times in that game, even though I only played it for a few months, which I regret now (I was a different gamer back then). Ever since Galaxies, I have been waiting for a new Star Wars MMO and that day has finally come, well kinda...still have to wait until SWTOR is released. Still not much info has been released and I have my fears, which I will keep to myself for the time being. I just hope the hopes and dreams from the pre-NGE players are heard. Face it, old SWG had some great things going for it. I think it still does, I played it six or so months ago and had a good time, until I got bored running missions. Anyway, remember the sandbox is all I want to say! Check out this ten-minute video over on gamespot, an interview with bioware developers, founders and a lucasarts guy talking about the direction of the game and what not. Sounds promising but only time will tell! |
